EF StartUp Manager
EF StartUp Manager is an application software download free Windows that lets you manage startup programs, edit registry entries and save data to multiple formats. It is portable, meaning that it can be run on a USB flash drive or any computer you might come across on the fly, without needing to install anything first.
EF Scripting Tools
As we mentioned before, the EF Scripting tools need a target project to act as a starting point. This project can be a dummy project with no actual code or a real.NET Core console app or web app project that references the dummy project.
This is necessary because the EF Core tools must execute application code at design time to get information about the project, such as the database connection string and the model configuration. They can't do that if the EF Core model is in a.NET Standard class library, or if the project isn't in a.NET Core or.NET Framework project.
There are a number of different programs that automatically start with Windows, but some are definitely not necessary and might even be spying on your PC. In addition, it is possible that some unused applications might be started and use system resources, thus making your computer run slower.
Specialized programs like EF StartUp Manager offer an extensive overview of startup items along with a set of extra controls and the possibility to stick your nose in registries, allowing you to insert, delete, or temporarily disable new programs with ease. The program can also be used to control the starting mode, letting you set a specific order and specify a delay between items. It has a classic window design, with a side panel that makes it easy to browse through the startup menu items, registries, and INI configurations. Turning off a startup item only requires you to press a single button, and changes are applied in real-time.
